Owner/Manager: Melodi Landi Melodi grew up around animals and has over twenty three years of experience caring for cats, dogs and other small animals. She started pet sitting professionally in May of 2000 and has over eleven years of experience caring for other people's animals & running a pet sitting service. She also has six years experience working at veterinary hospitals (both general health & emergency practices) as a veterinary technician/supervisor/veterinary nurse and has volunteer experience at a farm sanctuary working with rescued pigs, goats, llamas, ducks, cows, birds, ponies, etc... She currently has one dog, whom she rescued - a golden/chow mix named Simba. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Business Administration & a concentration in Animal Veterinary Science. She is also certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross and in Animals in Disaster Awareness and Preparedness Training through FEMA (The Federal Emergency Management Agency.) She has 5years experience working in an animal shelter. She worked as a volunteer coordinator and ran a cat rescue league. She has one dog of her own and multiple cats and is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross. Serving Newport County; Middletown, Portsmouth & Newport: Pet sitter & Dog Walker Britta Solstad Britta grew up around animals. She has experience working in an animal shelter, at a pet store and teaching dog training courses. She is owned by 2dogs and a cat and will become certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross in the Fall of 2011. Serving the Pawtucket, Providence, East Providence and Cranston Areas Mid-day Dog Walker: Danielle Ferraro Danielle has about 1.5yrs experience working as a pet sitter/dog walker for a NYC Dog Walking Company. She has experience working with both cats, dogs and diabetic animals. She grew up with dogs and is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross . She is studying animal massage/reiki, has always been surrounded by animals and currently lives with a dog and 2 cats. She is also certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross. She has one dog of her own whom she rescued and was featured on National Geographic's DogTown. She is also certified in Pet First Aid/CPR through the American Red Cross. Serving the Warwick & Cranston areas Pet Sitter Harriet Muise Harriet has many years of experience working with animals (both cats and dogs). She spent 1.5yrs working at a feral cat sanctuary and also owned and operated a cat rescue in FL for 6years. She is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross (is also a Pet CPR/First Aid Instructor with them) & certified in Animals in Disaster Awareness, Preparedness Training & Community Planning through FEMA. She has two dogs & three cats at home. She has completed courses with Animal Behavior College and volunteering with another trainer to sharpen her skills. Overnight Sitter Joyce Dailey Joyce grew up around animals, has experience volunteering with the Potter League and about 2years experience working in a Pet Boutique. She has 4 dogs of her own (maltese) and is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross. She has experience volunteering and fostering dogs through the ASPCA, Lincoln Greyhound Rescue as well as a Great Dane rescue. She is trained in caring for abused animals, senior pets & special needs animals (including diabetics.) She has dogs of her own, has over 20years experience working as an RN & is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross. She has done prior pet/farm sitting and studied small animal science throughout high school. She has completed courses in the veterinary assistant field, completed an internship at an animal hospital and worked on some horse farms as well. She has two horses, two dogs & two cats at home and is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross. She has been known to rescue and nurse wild animals back to health, has two dogs of her own (a bulldog and a boston terrier) and has taken Pet CPR/First Aid training courses. Serving Kent County, RI (West Warwick and parts of Warwick) Mid-day Dog Walker & Pet Sitter Keri Hostetter Keri became a licensed vet tech in 2001 and has many years experience working as a vet tech. She has an associate degree in Veterinary Technology and is also a Certified Small Animal Massage Therapist. She has prior experience pet sitting, trained in Pet First Aid/CPR and volunteered for a non-profit animal rescue organization. She grew up with dogs,ducks, cats & other small animals and currently has three cats at home. She has spent her time volunteering at the Potter League and also has experience working with cats/dogs/farm animals through one of previous jobs. She currently owns snakes, geckos, a cat and is in the process of adopting a puppy. She is also certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross. She is currently attending the University of Rhode Island, majoring in Animal Science/Pre-Vet studies. She has worked/volulnteered in wildlife centers, boarding facilities, vet hospitals and animal shelters since the age of 12. She also dedicated her time at a wolf refuge in Colorado for an internship. Her and her fiance have rescued (and are now owned by) 4 dogs, 3 cats, and a variety of small animals. She is the Vice President and Webmaster of Help Save One, a dog rescue based out of Rhode Island http://www.helpsaveone.org. Services Michaela Schandelmayer-Davis Michaela has over two years experience working at animal hospitals and 3years experience working at a zoo. She is trained in caring for special need pets, diabetics and has taken veterinary science courses. In additon, she has experience with dog obedience training and with horses. She currently owns 2 small dogs, 3cats & is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross. She has done doggie & kitty foster through a couple of rescues as well and grew up around animals. She owns a dog, guinea pig and a bird. has She will be certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross in Winter of 2012. She has over 2 years prior experience doing pet sitting/dog walking and dog boarding and over 20 years experience as a nurse. She currently has 1 Main coon cat and a rabbit.
