Owner/Manager: Melodi Landi Melodi grew up around animals and has over twenty years experience caring for cats, dogs and other small animals. She started pet sitting professionally in May of 2000 and has over ten years of experience caring for other people's animals & running a pet sitting service. She also has six years experience working at veterinary hospitals (both general health & emergency practices) as a veterinary technician/supervisor/veterinary nurse. She currently has one dog, whom she rescued - a golden/chow mix named Simba. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Business Administration & a concentration in Animal Veterinary Science. She is also certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross and in Animals in Disaster Awareness and Preparedness Training through FEMA (The Federal Emergency Management Agency.) She has experience volunteering with Friends of Homeless Animals (a dog rescue/adoption organization) doing doggie foster care and is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross. She currently owns 3 cats and is fostering a boston terrier. Serving South County, RI (Saundestown,Narragansett,Kingston, Wakefield, West Kingstown, South Kingstown and parts of Richmond) Mid-day Dog Walker & Pet sitter Brenda Bartone Brenda has many years of experience working with both cats & dogs. She has 5yrs experience volunteering at an animal shelter, 3yrs experience working as a volunteer coordinator of a shelter, started and ran her own rescue group and ran a pet sitting/housekeeping service in the past. She has had animals all of her life and currently has one dog and cares for 25 rescued cats. She will become certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross in Sept2010. She has experience volunteering with the Volunteer Services for Animals and has helped to reduce the homeless animal population. She is certified in Pet First Aid/CPR through the American Red Cross and has one dog of her own. Serving the Pawtucket, Providence, East Providence and Cranston Areas Mid-day Dog Walker: Danielle Ferraro Danielle has about 1.5yrs experience working as a pet sitter/dog walker for a NYC Dog Walking Company. She has experience working with both cats, dogs and diabetic animals. She grew up with dogs and is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross. Serving theBarrington/Bristol/Warren/Tiverton/Swansea/Somerset/Fall River & Seekonk area Back-up Walker/Sitter: Deanna Baxter Deanna volunteers her time at the Bristol Animal Shelter where she has adopted two kitties of her own. In addition to her cats, she has also rescued a Newfoundland named Moses. She has experience working with a wide variety of animals from cats & dogs to chickens, horses, rabbits, tortoises, iguanas and more. She is also certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross . Serving the Providence County Area; Pet sitter, Evening Dog Walker & Overnight sitter: Erica Medeiros Erica has experience working/volunteering at a animal rescue organization/animal sanctuary. She has experience caring for special needs pets including diabetics and animals requiring fluid therapy (subQ fluids). She has one dog of her own whom she rescued and was featured on National Geographic's DogTown. She will become certified in Pet First Aid/CPR through the American Red Cross in the Summer of 2010. Serving the Cranston, Warwick, East Greenwich and North Kingstown areas Mid-day Dog Walker & Pet Sitter Erin Brannigan Erin has experience working in a kennel and in an animal hospital. She has experience working with both cats and dogs including diabetic pets. She is also certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross and has 2 dogs of her own (two labs). Serving the Warwick & Cranston areas Pet Sitter Harriet Muise Harriet has many years of experience working with animals (both cats and dogs). She spent 1.5yrs working at a feral cat sanctuary and also owned and operated a cat rescue in FL for 6years. She is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross (is also a Pet CPR/First Aid Instructor with them) & certified in Animals in Disaster Awareness, Preparedness Training & Community Planning through FEMA. She has two dogs & three cats at home. She has a dogs of her own and will become certified in Pet CPR/First Aid this Summer 2010. She has done prior pet/farm sitting and studied small animal science throughout high school. She has completed courses in the veterinary assistant field, completed an internship at an animal hospital and worked on some horse farms as well. She has two horses, two dogs & two cats at home and is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross. Serving South County, RI (Narragansett/Wakefield/South Kingstown) Mid-day Dog Walker Kelly McGovern Kelly has experience running a doggie daycare and previous pet sitting experience with both cats and dogs. She has been known to rescue and nurse wild animals back to health, has two dogs of her own (a bulldog and a boston terrier) and will become certified in Pet CPR/First Aid in Sept of 2010. Serving the Providence/Pawtucket and Cranston area Weekend Afternoon Dog Walker(Sat & Sun) Leilani Diaz Leilani has two years of experience working/volunteering at an animal shelter. She spent her time walking, socializing and exercising the animals. She has two dogs of her own and is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross. Serving the Kent County area (Cranston, Warwick, West Warwick, Coventry, Hope, West Greenwich, East Greenwich and Noth Kingstown) Mid-Day Dog Walker Meghan Barry Meghan has over 10 years experience working with animals of all types (including exotics). She is currently attending the University of Rhode Island, majoring in Animal Science/Pre-Vet studies. She has worked/volulnteered in wildlife centers, boarding facilities, vet hospitals and animal shelters since the age of 12. She also dedicated her time at a wolf refuge in Colorado for an internship. Her and her fiance have rescued (and are now owned by) 4 dogs, 3 cats, and a variety of small animals. She is the Vice President and Webmaster of Help Save One, a dog rescue based out of Rhode Island http://www.helpsaveone.org. She has over 2 years prior experience doing pet sitting/dog walking and dog boarding and over 20 years experience as a nurse. She currently has 1 Main coon cat and a rabbit.
