Employment Oppurtunities All positions are part-time and on an independent contractor basis DOG WALKING POSITIONS: 1. North Kingstown & Surrounding mid-day walker: starts at 7-10 visits/week with oppurtunity for more visits as business increases. This position requires a minimum of 1-2hrs availability in the afternoons Mon-Fri sometime between 10:30-2pm. 2. West Greenwich/Coventry & Surrounding mid-day walker: starts at 3-5 visits/week with oppurtunity for more visits as business increases. This position requires a minimum of 1-2hrs availability in the afternoons Mon-Fri sometime between 10:30-2pm. 3. Wakefield/Narragansett & Surrounding mid-day walker: starts at 3-5 visits/week with oppurtunity for more visits as business increases. This position requires a minimum of 1-2hrs availability in the afternoons Mon-Fri sometime between 10:30-2pm. 4. Westerly/Charlestown & Surrounding mid-day walker: starts at 3-5 visits/week with oppurtunity for more visits as business increases. This position requires a minimum of 1-2hrs availability in the afternoons Mon-Fri sometime between 10:30-2pm. 5. Warwick & Cranston mid-day walker: starts very part time with oppurtunity for more visits as business increases. This position requires a minimum of 1-2hrs availability in the afternoons Mon-Fri sometime between 10:30-2pm. 6. Newport/Tiverton/Fall River/Bristol mid-day walker: starts very part time with oppurtunity for more visits as business increases. This position requires a minimum of 1-2hrs availability in the afternoons Mon-Fri sometime between 10:30-2pm. PET SITTING POSITIONS: 1. South County pet sitter/overnight sitter; 3 positions; #1: Narragansett/Wakefield/S.Kingstown and Surrounding #2: W.Kingston/Kingston/Richmond/Hope Valley/parts of Charlestown #3: Westerly/Charlestown - Number # of visits -based on clients' traveling needs. Pet Sitters: Minimum of an hour availability in the Mornings (between 5am-9am), hour availability in evenings (between 4:00 – 6:30pm). Ocassional nights, weekends, overnights in clients homes and holidays required as well. Must be comfortable medicating both cats and dogs with pills/liquids. Training with diabetic pets a plus but not required. 1.Providence County Pet Sitter/Overnight Sitter - 2et Sitters::Minimum of an hour availability in Mornings (between 5am-9am), hour availability in evenings (between 4:00 – 6:30pm), occasional night, weekends and holidays. Must be comfortable medicating both cats and dogs will pills/liquids. Training with diabetic pets a plus but not required. Ability to do overnights in clients homes too -see below; Overnight Sitters: 30mins -60mins availability in the evenings (btwn 4:30-6:30pm) and overnight availability btwn 8-10pm through next AM btwn 6-8am. 3.Northern RI Pet Sitter/Overnight Sitter - Pet Sitters::Minimum of an hour availability in Mornings (between 5am-9am), hour availability in evenings (between 4:00 – 6:30pm), occasional night, weekends and holidays. Must be comfortable medicating both cats and dogs will pills/liquids. Training with diabetic pets a plus but not required. Overnight Sitters: 30mins -60mins availability in the evenings (btwn 4:30-6:30pm) and overnight availability btwn 8-10pm through next AM btwn 6-8am. 4.Newport/Portsmouth/Middletown Pet Sitter/Overnight Sitter - Pet Sitters::Minimum of an hour availability in Mornings (between 5am-9am), hour availability in evenings (between 4:00 – 6:30pm), occasional night, weekends and holidays. Must be comfortable medicating both cats and dogs will pills/liquids. Training with diabetic pets a plus but not required.Must be local to the Newport & surrounding areas. Overnight Sitters:: 30mins -60mins availability in the evenings (btwn 4:30-6:30pm) and overnight availability btwn 8-10pm through next AM btwn 6-8am. All positions require the following: A minimum of an 8mo – 1yr commitment Daily Internet Access/Own cell phone Own vehicle with license/insurance/good driving record Candidate must pass background screening/criminal search Ability to work well independently, follow directions and trustworthy Candidate must be good with people and animals Provide references/proof of professional animal experience (at least 2 professional references) At least 6mos prior professional animal experience A plus if you have Pet CPR/First Aid Certification but if not, must be willing to become certified once position is oferred. Prior professional experience with dogs/cats consists of one of the following: Animal shelters (volunteer or work), SPCA (volunteer or work), animal hospital, kennel, grooming, pre-vet student, animal schooling or other equivalent.
