Employment Oppurtunities All positions require the following: A minimum of an 8mo – 1yr commitment Daily Internet Access/Own cell phone Own vehicle with license/insurance/good driving record Candidate must pass background screening/criminal search Ability to work well independently, follow directions and trustworthy Candidate must be good with people and animals Provide references/proof of professional animal experience (at least 2 professional references) At least 6mos prior professional animal experience Must be willing to become certified in Pet CPR/First Aid once position is oferred. One time class (3-4hrs in eve or weekend through Red Cross. Price ranges from $45-$70 for class.) A plus if you already have this. Prior professional experience with dogs/cats consists of one of the following: Animal shelters or animal rescue organizations (volunteer or work), SPCA (volunteer or work), animal hospital(volunteer or work), kennel, experience working at a grooming facility or doggie day-care/training facility, pre-vet student, dog training experience, animal schooling or other equivalent. All positions are part-time and on an independent contractor basis DOG WALKING POSITIONS: Dog walking positions include visiting clients homes to exercise, walk or to let/take, out for their dogs. Includes walking, cleaning up after animals, feeding/providing fresh water, giving dogs attention, establishing a daily routine for dogs & leaving a note to let clients know how/what the dogs did 1. Newport/Portsmouth/Middletown Part-Time Afternoon Dog Walker -Requires a minimum of 1-2hrs availability in the afternoons Mon-Fri sometime between 10:30-2:30pm. Full Availability btwn 10am-3pm a plus 2. Hope Valley/Charlestown/Richmond Part-Time Afternoon Dog Walker -Requires a minimum of 1-2hrs availability in the afternoons Mon-Fri sometime between 11-2:30pm. 3. Westport/Fall River/Tiverton Part-Time Afternoon Dog Walker -Requires a minimum of 1-2hrs availability in the afternoons Mon-Fri sometime between 11-2:30pm. 4. Cranston/Warwick RI Part-Time Afternoon Dog Walker -Requires a minimum of 1-2hrs availability in the afternoons Mon-Fri sometime between 11-2:30pm. 5. Providence/Pawtucket RI Part-Time Afternoon Dog Walker -Requires a minimum of 1-2hrs availability in the afternoons Mon-Fri sometime between 11-2:30pm. PET SITTING POSITIONS: Pet Sitting positions involve visiting clients home to care for their animals while they are away on vacation. This includes walking, exercising, letting dogs out, Feedinging/providing fresh water, cleaning up after animals, litter box scoopings/cleanings, medicating animals if needed, providing care/attention to animals, looking after clients homes, taking in the mail/newspaper, watering plants, taking out trash, keeping an eye on house to make sure no issues, emailing/calling or texting clients with updates on their pets as requested, leaving a report for clients for them to read upon their return, etc... 1.Westerly & Ashaway Pet Sitter/Overnight Sitter - Minimum of an hour availability in Mornings (between 5am-9am), hour availability in evenings (between 4:00 – 6:30pm), occasional night, weekends and holidays. Must be comfortable medicating both cats and dogs with pills/liquids. Training with diabetic pets a plus but not required. 2.Attleboro, Lincoln, Cumberland, Woonsocket Pet Sitter/Overnight Sitter - Minimum of an hour availability in Mornings (between 5am-9am), hour availability in evenings (between 4:00 – 6:30pm), occasional night, weekends and holidays. Must be comfortable medicating both cats and dogs with pills/liquids. Training with diabetic pets a plus but not required. 3. Providence/Pawtucket & Surrounding Pet, Dog Sitter/Overnight Sitter - Minimum of an hour availability in Mornings (between 5am-9am), hour availability in evenings (between 4:00 – 6:30pm), occasional night, weekends and holidays. Must be comfortable medicating dogs with pills/liquids. Training with diabetic pets a plus but not required. 4. North Kingstown Pet Sitter/Overnight Sitter (Wickford/Quonset area) - Minimum of an hour availability in Mornings (between 5am-9am), hour availability in evenings (between 4:00 – 6:30pm), occasional night, weekends and holidays. Must be comfortable medicating cats/dogs with pills/liquids. Training with diabetic pets a plus but not required. 5. Newport, Portsmouth, Middletown Pet Sitter/Overnight Sitter - Minimum of an hour availability in Mornings (between 5am-9am), hour availability in evenings (between 4:00 – 6:30pm), occasional night, weekends and holidays. Must be comfortable medicating cats/dogs with pills/liquids. Training with diabetic pets a plus but not required. Overnight Sitters: Northern RI & South County areas Requires Overnight availability btwn 8-10pm through next AM btwn 6-8am. This involves staying in the clients home from this time to care for animals/home and includes all duties as described in the pet sitting positions above. In your Home Dog Sitters - This involves clients' dogs staying in your home. All dogs are required to be up to date on vaccines, flea preventatives, house trained & well behaved. You can set the number of dogs/size of dogs that you want to take in at a time. Includes walking, exercising dogs, giving them attention, feeding/providing fresh water, medicating if needed, cleaning up after animals, contacting clients with updates as requested. Seeking areas All throughout RI... 1. -Kent County (Coventry/West Greenwich area) 2. Kent County (Warwick/Cranston area) 3. Providence County 4. South County 5. Newport County, etc... Work from home schedule or flexible schedule that allows dogs not to be left alone more than 3-4hrs during the day. Requires weekends and most holidays. (These are our busiest times.) Must be comfortable medicating dogs with pills/liquids. Training with diabetic pets a plus but not required. Must have house with fenced in yard -no cats or have set up where cats will be separated from dogs.
