Melodi M. Landi, Owner / Manager

Melodi started pet sitting professionally in May of 2000 & has over 17yrs experience running a pet sitting service. She grew up around cats & dogs and has cared for a wide variety of animals. She has 6yrs experience working at veterinary hospitals (general health & emergency practices) as a vet tech/supervisor/veterinary nurse as well as volunteer experience through a farm sanctuary working with rescued pigs, goats, llamas, ducks, cows, birds, ponies, etc… She currently has one dog, whom she rescued – a chow chow named Amaro.

She graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Business Administration & a concentration in Animal Veterinary Science. She is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross & in Animals in Disaster Awareness & Preparedness Training through FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency.). She also graduated from the Emerging Leaders / StreetWise ‘MBA’ Program in October 2017 and has completed various continuing education courses in the Pet Care Industry.

Simba, a Chow / Golden Mix was known as the “Gentle Giant.” His full history is unknown. We know he was a stray, taken in by an animal shelter. His time was up and a non-profit rescue stepped in to place him in a foster home. Simba came into our lives through Pet Matchmaker. He loved going on adventures, accompanying the dog friendly dogs on their walks and swimming at Goddard Park.

Alisha Vacca – Evening and Weekend Client Care Coordinator

Alisha has 4 years prior experience working in a office as a coordinator/office assistant. She grew up with animals and has prior experience volunteering on a farm working with horses, dogs, pigs and cows. She lives with 2 dogs -both German Shepherds named Zues & Mala Bear and 1 bunny named Zoie. Alisha is certified in Pet First Aid / CPR through Pet Emergency Education LLC.

Christina Caccioppoli, Office Administrator / Payroll & Invoicing Specialist / Fill-In Client Care Coordinator

Christina has spent her life surrounded by animals.

She has prior experience working at an Animal Care Facility, at Mystic Aquarium, at a Doggie Daycare, volunteering at an animal shelter and studying Pet Massage. Christina graduated from URI with her MBA, Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology. Christina is also certified in Pet CPR/First Aid and resides with one dog, a Pitbull named Achilles and a cat named Venus.

Jenna Deslaurier, Client Care Coordinator

Jenna grew up with dogs, guinea pigs, and many, many fish. She has prior experience taking care of other people’s animals doing dog walking, pet sitting, and overnight sitting.

Jenna is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross and currently resides with Pepper, a Shih Tzu, who she enjoys spoiling on her days off.

Jenna has 4 years prior experience working in an office as well as a degree in art from Drew University.

When not working at Furry Fellas, she is creating art!

Krystle Jennings, HR Assistant / Client Care Coordinator

Krystle grew up around animals and has 2 years of prior experience working at & managing a pet care facility (Best Friends Pet Care).

She has worked at a local animal hospital and has prior experience pet sitting.

She currently lives with 1 dog, a black lab named Aurora.

Lisa Girtain, Client Care Coordinator / Office Assistant

Lisa has many years of administrative experience including working as a client care coordinator for another pet sitting company prior to her work with Furry Fellas.

She is passionate about animals and has always had pets in her home.

Lisa volunteers her time with an animal rescue (Faithful Friends) helping dogs and cats.

She resides with 7 cats, all of whom are rescues!

Michelle Mach, E-Marketing Department

Michelle is passionate about helping animals and has prior experience working with pet grooming services, vet tech training, and working professionally with horses. Michelle enjoys spending time in nature, traveling, animal rights activism, and spending time with animals and her loved ones. She studied both Marketing and Business Management at Bridgewater State College.

Her furry family members include a calico cat named Puppet and a horse named Cash.

Scott Landi – Office Admin

Scott grew up around dogs and was our first ever office team member. He has been with the company 6 years and manages our bank deposits, P.O. Box mail, key storage, etc.

Taylor Berry – Full Time Client Care Coordinator

Taylor grew up with animals and she has always had animals in her home! She has prior experience working at Best Friends Pet Care Service at Walt Disney World as both an animal caretaker and as a reservationist. She has volunteered her time working with the animals at Pet Smart & The Florida Humane Society. Taylor currently lives with 1 dog (a Pekingese named Mr. Fluff) and six cats (1 Ragdoll mix and five domestic short haired cats). As of January 2020, she has completed her Pet First Aid / CPR training through Pet Emergency Education LLC.

Meet the Sitters & Walkers of Furry Fellas!

Your pet sitters and dog walkers are a group of dedicated, professional pet sitters & dog walkers. We are located all throughout Rhode Island and in parts of Bristol County, Massachusetts. All of our sitters are bonded and insured through the company, have undergone background & reference checks, have prior experience working with animals, have vet tech or Pet First Aid/CPR Training, are fully capable of caring for your companions & have been trained to recognize emergency symptoms & medicate pets.

Alyssa Kouttab, Mid-day Dog Walker, Pet Sitter & Overnight Sitter (West Greenwich, Coventry, West Warwick, East Greenwich and parts of Warwick RI)

Alyssa grew up always having animals in the household. She has previous experience working with animals in a professional environment doing dog grooming, rescue work (wild/domestic), shelter/rehabilitation, as a professional dog walker/training on dog walks and also at a Horse Camp. She is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross and lives with four cats, three ferrets & one turtle.

Amanda Manni, Occasional Pet Sitter (Woonsocket, Cumberland RI and Attleboro MA)

Amanda has volunteered her time working at the West Warwick Animal Shelter caring for the animals and walking the dogs. She has previous experience working with horses as well. Amanda has lived with animals for many years and lives with one cat named Cali. She has also completed her Pet First Aid / CPR training.

Anthony Montecalvo, Pet Sitter (North Kingstown, East Greenwich, Exeter & Surrounding)

Anthony has prior experience working at a veterinarian’s office. He has recently retired from his full-time career as a registered nurse. He has almost always had animals in his home and volunteers his time at a local shelter. He lives with 1 dog, Wilson and 2 cats, Zoom & Zip. Anthony will become certified in Pet First Aid / CPR in the Fall of 2019. 

Bailey Roy, Dog Walker, (Cumberland RI / Attleboro MA / Lincoln RI / Pawtucket RI)

Bailey has several years experience volunteering at a rescue and an animal shelter. Both the Seekonk Animal Shelter and Save A Pet Rescue. She grew up with dogs, currently lives with 1 lab named Hershey and has prior pet sitting experience. Bailey is certified in Pet First Aid / CPR through Pet Emergency Education LLC. 

Barbara Pedro, Dog Walker, Pet Sitter & In Our Home Dog Boarding in Newport RI (Newport, Middletown & Portsmouth, RI)

Barbara grew up around animals & has always had a dog in her home.

She has previous experience volunteering at the Potter League and has completed dog/cat care training there.

She is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross and lives with two dogs.

Caitlyn Nesbitt, Pet Sitter (North Attleboro & Attleboro MA)

Caitlyn grew up with animals and currently lives with 2 cats. She has been volunteering at an animal shelter working with cats, dogs and other small animals for the last 2 years. Caitlyn is certified in Pet First Aid / CPR through Pet Emergency Education LLC. 

Celie Morin, Pet Sitter / Dog Walker /Overnight Sitter (Lincoln, Attleboro, Pawtucket, Providence, North Providence)

Celie has over one year of prior experience working as a professional pet sitter / dog walker. She volunteers her time at the North Smithfield Animal Shelter to help with animal care and cleaning. Celie grew up around both dogs & cats. 

Currently, she lives with 1 dog (Min-Pin / Chihuahua mix) and 2 cats. She is also certified in Pet First Aid / CPR through Pet Emergency LLC.

Colleen Donovan, Dog Walker, Pet Sitter & Overnight Pet Sitter (Warren, Bristol, Barrington, RI)

Colleen has 5years prior experience working as a zoo keeper -working with a large variety of animals.

She has a degree in zoology, has assisted in animal education programs, working at a wildlife rehabilitation program, volunteered at a bird sanctuary and has prior experience volunteering with the cats/dogs at a local shelter.

She lives with one dog, a terrier mix and is certified in Pet First Aid through Pet Emergency Education LLC.

Danielle Flanagan, Dog Walker (Coventry, West Greenwich, West Kingston, Richmond, Hope Valley RI)

Danielle has many years experience working with animals through a pet store, kennel and at an animal hospital. She grew up with animals, has always had animals and is certified in pet first aid CPR. She currently lives with 2 dogs (pugs), and 2 rabbits. 

Danielle Ferraro, Dog Walker & Occasional Pet Sitter (Providence, RI)

Danielle has about 2 years prior experience working as a professional pet sitter/dog walker for a NYC Dog Walking Company.

She has worked with dogs in packs and of all breeds & sizes.

She has experience working with both cats and dogs. She grew up with dogs, has 1 dog currently and is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross.

David Hobson, Dog Walker (Providence, East Providence & Pawtucket, RI)

 David grew up around animals and lived with a golden retriever, Buster, for nine years.

Before moving to Providence and joining Furry Fellas, he worked for a company in Lexington MA as a professional dog walker for one year.

He has completed his Pet First Aid / CPR Training through Pet Emergency Education LLC.

Donna Peluso, Dog Walker, Pet Sitter & Overnight Pet Sitter (Warwick, Cransston RI)

Donna has lived with a variety of animals… dogs, cats, birds, etc. She has prior experience working at a Dog Grooming Business and is certified in Pet First Aid / Pet CPR.

Ellen Jaedicke, Dog Walker & Occasional Pet Sitter (Charlestown, Richmond, Exeter, West Kingston & Kingston RI)

Ellen has 2years experience working with animals at the South Kingstown Animal Rescue League.

She is studying animal massage/reiki, has always been surrounded by animals and has volunteered at the Rhode Island Wildlife Clinic. She lives with 2 cats and is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross.

Gary Cole, Dog Walker & Occasional Pet Sitter (Seekonk MA, East Providence, Pawtucket RI & Attleboro MA)

Gary has over 4 years experience working as a shift manager at an animal care facility that offered services such as boarding, daycare and training. He grew up around animals, has studied dog training and his goal is to become a professional dog trainer. He has lived with dogs, cats, rabbits and birds. Gary is also certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through Pet Emergency Education LLC.

Harriet Muise, Dog Walker & Pet Sitter (Warwick, Cranston, Johnston & Providence, RI)

Harriet has many years of experience working with animals (both cats and dogs). She spent 1.5yrs working at a feral cat sanctuary and also owned and operated a cat rescue in FL for 6years.

She is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross (and used to be a Pet CPR/First Aid Instructor) & is certified in Animals in Disaster Awareness, Preparedness Training & Community Planning through FEMA. She has two dogs & three cats at home.

Heather Simmons, Dog Walker, Pet Sitter & Overnight Sitter (Westport, Rehoboth, Swansea, Somerset, Fall River MA and Tiverton RI)

Heather has nine years experience working as a wildlife rehabilitator. She has volunteered with both Normal Bird Sanctuary and Audubon. She grew up with animals and currently lives with birds, cats, geckos, snake, fish, mice and a bearded dragon. She will become certified in Pet CPR/First Aid in Winter of 2020.

Hope Abbruzzese, Dog Walker & Pet Sitter (Chepachet, Burriville, Smithfield, North Smithfield, Cumberland, Woonsocket RI and Uxbridge MA)

 

Hope has many years of experience working with animals (cats, dogs and other small animals).

She grew up with both cats and dogs in her home.

She has 5 years previous experience working as a veterinary technician, volunteered at 2 horse farms and worked at an emergency vet clinic.

She currently resides with 1 snake, a gecko, bearded dragon, a turtle and fish.

Jackie Pezullo, In Her Home Dog Boarding (Cranston / Johnston line)

Jackie grew up around animals & has always had animals in her home. She has 5years prior experience working at a pet store as a cashier and animal care attendant. Currently, she lives with 1 dog (a Pit Mix) and 1 cat. She will become certified in Pet First Aid / CPR in the Fall of 2019.

James Creelman, Dog Walker, Occasional Pet Sitter & Overnight Pet Sitter (Chepachet, Greenville, Smithfield, North Smithfield & North Providence RI)

James has prior experience working at a professional dog walking company in NYC. He has worked with all types and sizes of dogs. He has lived with animals for many years and will become certified in Pet First Aid / CPR in Fall 2017.

Jennifer Moran, Mid-day Dog Walker & Pet Sitter and Overnight Pet Sitter (Providence, East Providence & Surrounding)

Jennifer has prior experience working at a doggie daycare as well as volunteering her time at an animal shelter. She has always had animals in her home from cats, dogs and other small animal. She will become certified in Pet First Aid / CPR in April 2020.

Julia Ledo, Dog Walker (Rehoboth, Swansea, Fall River & Somerset MA)

Julia grew up with many pets eventually going on to Bristol County Agricultural High where she began working with animals in the Large Animal Science program.

She graduated from Liberty University with a B.S in Zoology/Wildlife.

She volunteered for 2 years at the Humane Society walking and caring for the dogs there, volunteered at Roger Williams Zoo and at West Place Animal Sanctuary.

She is Pet CPR/First Aid certified.

Currently, she lives with three cats, two goldfish and her rescue dog, Otis. 

Karen Molden, Dog Walker, Pet Sitter & Overnight Pet Sitter (West Greenwich, Coventry, West Warwick, East Greenwich, Warwick, Cranston RI)

Karen has prior experience working at a doggie daycare, a pet store and at an animal shelter.

She has always lived with a variety of small animals such as cats/dogs/fish/lizard, etc.

Currently, she lives with 4 cats and is certified in Pet First Aid / CPR through Pet Emergency Education LLC.

Katie Caouette, Dog Walker, Pet Sitter & Overnight Pet Sitter (Rehoboth, Swansea, Fall River, Somerset, Seekonk MA, Warren, Bristol, Barrington, Newport, Middletown, Tiverton, East Providence, Providence, North Providence, Pawtucket RI)

Katie has been with Furry Fellas for 10 years, caring for dogs and other small animals of all sizes. She previously worked at a boarding kennel in Rehoboth, MA for 10 years, as well as a local animal shelter and a local zoo, both for a year. She studied Small Animal Science at Bristol County Agricultural High School: completing veterinary courses, dog grooming/judging, and also an internship at Dighton Veterinary Hospital. She currently resides with two dogs (Dachshund and Golden), two cats, two horses, three snakes, two geckos, and a ferret. She is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross. Katie also runs a farm sitting service with 10 years experience serving parts of MA and RI for all types of large animals. She has been involved with The United States Pony Club for 21 years and has extensive knowledge in horse care.

Kayla McCoy -Pet Sitter / Overnight Sitter / Weekend Dog Walker (Providence, Johnston, Cranston, Warwick RI)

Kayla has prior experience working& volunteering with horses on a farm / riding trail. She also worked at a doggie daycare / boarding facility and grew up with animals in her home. Currently, she lives with 3 dogs (Terrier Mix & two Papillons) and a hamster. Kayla will become certified in Pet First Aid / CPR in the Fall of 2019.

Lauren Watts, Dog Walker & Pet Sitter (Warick, Cranston, Johnston, Providence RI)

Lauren has spent most of her life surrounded by animals. She has 1 year prior experience working as a veterinary assistant/tech as well as another year of experience working at a Pet store (where she cared for the animals there). She has 3 dogs (Abbie, Ellie & Talulla), 2 rabbits, 2 guinea pigs, turtles and a cockatoo (Doedee) and is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross.

Marlena Paulson, Dog Walker, Pet Sitter & Overnight Pet Sitter (Westerly, Charlestown, Richmond, Wakefield, West Kingston, Kingston, Narragansett RI)

 

Marlena has prior experience volunteering at a no kill animal rescue working hands on with the animals.

She also grew up around animals -cats, birds, dogs and other small animals.

Nancy Zuffoletti, Dog Walker & Pet Sitter (West Greenwich, Hope, Coventry, West Warwick, East Greenwich, North Kingstown RI)

Nancy has over a year of experience working with another professional pet sitting/dog walking company. She has volunteered and done foster care through animal shelters, owns an online dog bakery and regularly volunteers at a local farm in NK working with pigs, etc… She currently lives with 2 dogs (American Bulldogs) and some rescued kitties. She is also certified in Pet First Aid / CPR through Pet Emergency Education LLC.

Patricia (Tricia) Wells, Dog Walker, Pet Sitter, Overnight Sitter & In Her Home Cat Sitter in Warwick RI (Cranston, Warwick, West Warwick, East Greenwich, North Kingstown, Saunderstown, Narragansett RI)

Tricia has lived with both dogs and cats and has been volunteering with PawsWatch since 2011 (7 years as of 2018).

She participates in the trap/spay/neuter/return program, helps to care for community cat colonies, and does foster care. She is also certified in Pet First Aid / CPR through Pet Emergency Education LLC.

Samantha Lemoine, Afternoon Dog Walker & Occasional Pet Sitter (Richmond / Hope Valley / West Kingston / Kingston RI)

Samantha grew up with animals and has always had a dog or cat in her home. She has 1 year prior experience as a dog bather / groomer. Samantha will become certified in Pet First Aid / CPR in Winter of 2020.

Sarah Wright, Dog Walker, Pet Sitter & Overnight Sitter (Rehoboth, Swansea, Fall River, Somerset, Tiverton RI)

Sarah has almost always had animals in her home. She resides with a bunny, 3 cats, a Pit Bull and a tarantula.

She has spent many years volunteering with the cats and dos at a local animal shelter.

Sarah is certified in Pet First Aid through Pet Emergency Education LLC.

Sharon Tefft, Pet Sitter & Overnight Sitter (Attleboro, Rehoboth, Barrington, North Providence, Pawtucket, East Providence, Providence, Cranston, Warwick RI)

Sharon grew up around animals.

She has many years experience working/volunteering with animals through farms/horse rescues & at local animal shelters and as a volunteer dog walker. She lives with 1 cat (persian) & 1 dog (Schnoodle) and she is certified in Pet First Aid.

Susan Saunders, In Her Home Cage Free Dog Boarding in Cranston RI

Susan has been working professionally with dogs and cats for many years. She has 20 years prior experience boarding dogs & pet sitting. She has volunteered for 8 years at the Providence Animal Rescue Leauge. She also fosters kittens for Candy Kitty Rescue, Providence Animal Control and volunteers at the Providence Animal Shelter. She resides with 4 cats (so all dogs coming into her home should be socialized and good with cats) and she has completed her Pet CPR / First Aid training through Pet Emergency Education LLC.

Susan Tabishesky, Dog Walker & Pet Sitter (West Greenwich, Hope, Coventry, West Warwick, Warwick, East Greenwich & North Kingsotwn RI)

Susan has spent most of her life surrounded by animals. She has about 3-4 years prior experience volunteering with a Boxer Rescue -doing foster care and helping with their adoptions. She currently resides with 1 dog named Lilly who is an American Eskimo / Cocker Spaniel mix. Sue is also certified in Pet CPR / First Aid through Pro Pet Hero.

Tammie Anderson, Pet Sitter (West Greenwich, Hope, Coventry, West Warwick, Warwick, East Greenwich, North Kingsotwn & Exeter RI)

Tammie grew up with animals (both dogs & cats) & has always had at least one companion animal since. She has experience volunteering with dogs at the Providence Animal Rescule League (Walking them, etc..) and has worked with PawsWatch to help rescue some feral cats in her area. She has previous experience as a professional house cleaner/pet sitter as well. In addition she has also worked with pet food companies & done some work with them at local pet stores such as PetCo & PetSmart. She lives with a few cats & she is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through Pet Emergency Education LLC.

Tammy Champion, In Her Home Cager Free Dog Boarding ( Cumberland RI)

Tammy has volunteered with a dog (Boxer) rescue for over 11 years.

She has fostered over 32 dogs during that time and has had animals around most of her life. Currently, she resides with 2 dogs; a bichon, a sheepadoodle & fish.

She offers in her home family style boarding in her beautiful home located in Cumberland RI. There is a very large fenced in yard for the dogs to run around and play. Tammy is certified in Pet First Aid / CPR through Pet Emergency Education LLC.

Terry Rancourt, Dog Walker, Pet Sitter & Overnight Pet Sitter (Rehoboth, Swansea, Somerset, Fall River MA & Warren RI) 

Terry has 9 years previous experience working at a professional pet sitting/dog walking company.

She has also worked with an animal rescue and done foster care.

She lives with 3 dogs and is certified in Pet First Aid through Pet Emergency Education LLC.

Tina Dean, Dog Walker & Pet Sitter (Barrington, Seekonk, Riverside, East Providence & Providence RI)

Tina has 2 years of prior professional experience doing pet sitting, dog walking and boarding. She has always had cats and dogs in her home. Currently, she lives with 4 cats and 2 dogs. The dogs are Rosie a mini pin mix and Harley Quinn a chihuahua mix. Tina is certified in Pet First Aid / CPR.
