Meet the Owner / Manager
Melodi M. Landi, Owner / Manager
Melodi started pet sitting professionally in May of 2000 & has over 20yrs experience running a pet sitting service. She grew up around cats & dogs and has cared for a wide variety of animals. She has 6yrs prior experience working at veterinary hospitals (general health & emergency practices) as a vet tech/supervisor/veterinary nurse, volunteer experience through a farm sanctuary and spent 13 years volunterring with a local 5013 non-profit during which time, she served as secretary, then treasurer and later vice president. She currently has one dog, whom she rescued – a chow chow named Amaro and is a Fear Free Certified Professional.
She graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Business Administration & a concentration in Animal Veterinary Science. She is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross & in Animals in Disaster Awareness & Preparedness Training through FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency.), Fear Free Certified Professional and Certified Pet Sitter. She also graduated from the Emerging Leaders / StreetWise ‘MBA’ Program in October 2017 and has completed various continuing education courses in the Pet Care Industry.
From 2019 through 2022, she was a recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award for over 100-200 hours of community service helping animals, the environment and individuals in need.
Simba, Company Mascot
March 2005 through May 2017
Simba, a Chow / Golden Mix was known as the “Gentle Giant.” His full history is unknown. We know he was a stray, taken in by an animal shelter. His time was up and a non-profit rescue stepped in to place him in a foster home. Simba came into our lives through Pet Matchmaker. He loved going on adventures, accompanying the dog friendly dogs on their walks and swimming at Goddard Park.
Meet The Furry Fellas Office Team!
Erica Medeiros, Part Time Client Care Coordinator
Erica has received her B.A. through URI. She has worked previously with Furry Fellas as a Pet Sitter / Dog Walker and has 5 years prior experience working as a veterinary receptionist. She has done previous volunteer/foster care with animals and lives with one dog named Tuxedo. Erica has also completed her Pet First Aid CPR Training/Certificate Program.
Evelyn DuPont, Office Administrator
Evelyn has prior experience working as an office assistant, coordinator and site manager. She obtained her bachelors degree from Adelphi University. She is a dog lover and resides with one dog (border collie mix) named Oso.
Kristine Meiser, Client Care Coordinator
Kristine has many years of prior experience working with animals.
She has prior experience working as a client care coordinator/reservations manager as well as an office manager for pet care companies. She is studying to become a certified dog trainer, volunteers her time working with dogs and grew up around dogs and other small animals.
Sarah Norquist, Lead Client Care Coordinator
Sarah has years of experience working with the animals/mammals at an aquarium and also working as a manager. She has prior pet sitting and office experience, grew up around animals and almost always had animals in her home. Sarah completed her pet first aid certificate program through Pet Sitters International in Spring 2022. She resides with 2 dogs (an Aussie Corgi mix and Shepherd/Aussie mix), a bearded dragon & a Russian tortoise.
Taylor Berry – Part Time/Fill In Client Care Coordinator
Taylor grew up with animals and she has always had animals in her home! She has prior experience working at Best Friends Pet Care Service at Walt Disney World as both an animal caretaker and as a reservationist. She has volunteered her time working with the animals at Pet Smart & The Florida Humane Society. Taylor currently lives with 1 dog (a Pekingese named Mr. Fluff) and six cats (1 Ragdoll mix and five domestic short haired cats). As of January 2020, she has completed her Pet First Aid / CPR training through Pet Emergency Education LLC.
Meet the Sitters & Walkers of Furry Fellas!
Your pet sitters and dog walkers are a group of dedicated, professional pet sitters & dog walkers. We are located all throughout Rhode Island and in parts of Bristol County, Massachusetts. All of our sitters are bonded and insured through the company, have undergone background & reference checks, have prior experience working with animals, have vet tech or Pet First Aid/CPR Training, are fully capable of caring for your companions & have been trained to recognize emergency symptoms & medicate pets.
Alyssa Kouttab, Mid-day Dog Walker, Pet Sitter & Overnight Sitter (West Greenwich, Coventry, West Warwick, East Greenwich and parts of Warwick RI)
Alyssa grew up always having animals in the household. She has previous experience working with animals in a professional environment doing dog grooming, rescue work (wild/domestic), shelter/rehabilitation, as a professional dog walker/training on dog walks and also at a Horse Camp.
She is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross and lives with four cats, three ferrets & one turtle.
Amy Mocarsky Dog Walker/ Pet Sitter (Coventry, West Greenwich, East Greenwich, West Warwick and Warwick 02886)
Amy has been volunteering/ fostering for various animal shelters and rescues since 2014.
She currently resides with one young cat, whose name is Bowie.
Amy will be completing her Pet First Aid/ CPR training in Spring of 2023
Barbara Pedro, Dog Walker & Pet Sitter (Newport, Middletown & Portsmouth, RI)
Barbara grew up around animals & has always had a dog in her home. She has previous experience volunteering at the Potter League and has completed dog/cat care training there.
She is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross and lives with two dogs.
Colleen Donovan, Dog Walker, Pet Sitter & Overnight Pet Sitter (Warren, Bristol, Barrington, RI)
Colleen has 5years prior experience working as a zoo keeper -working with a large variety of animals.
She has a degree in zoology, has assisted in animal education programs, working at a wildlife rehabilitation program, volunteered at a bird sanctuary and has prior experience volunteering with the cats/dogs at a local shelter.
She lives with one dog, a terrier mix and is certified in Pet First Aid through Pet Emergency Education LLC.
Ellen Jaedicke, Dog Walker & Occasional Pet Sitter (Charlestown, Richmond, Exeter, West Kingston & Kingston RI)
Ellen has 2years experience working with animals at the South Kingstown Animal Rescue League.
She is studying animal massage/reiki, has always been surrounded by animals and has volunteered at the Rhode Island Wildlife Clinic. She lives with 2 cats and is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross.
Erica Gaudet, Dog walking & Pet Sitting & Overnights (Coventry / West Greenwich / East Greenwich / West Warwick)
Erica grew up around animals. She has prior experience working as a professional pet sitter with a variety of small animals including cats & dogs.
Erica has completed her Pet First Aid training certificate program and currently lives with two dogs.
Harriet Muise, Dog Walker & Pet Sitter (Warwick, Cranston, Johnston & Providence, RI)
Harriet has many years of experience working with animals (both cats and dogs). She spent 1.5yrs working at a feral cat sanctuary and also owned and operated a cat rescue in FL for 6years.
She is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through the American Red Cross (and used to be a Pet CPR/First Aid Instructor) & is certified in Animals in Disaster Awareness, Preparedness Training & Community Planning through FEMA. She has two dogs & three cats at home.
Hope Abbruzzese, Dog Walker & Pet Sitter (Chepachet, Burriville, Smithfield, North Smithfield, Cumberland, Woonsocket RI and Uxbridge MA)
Hope has many years of experience working with animals (cats, dogs and other small animals).
She grew up with both cats and dogs in her home.
She has 5 years previous experience working as a veterinary technician, volunteered at 2 horse farms and worked at an emergency vet clinic.
She currently resides with 1 snake, a gecko, bearded dragon, a turtle and fish.
Karen Molden, Dog Walker, Pet Sitter & Overnight Pet Sitter (West Greenwich, Coventry, West Warwick, East Greenwich, Warwick, Cranston RI)
Karen has prior experience working at a doggie daycare, a pet store and at an animal shelter.
She has always lived with a variety of small animals such as cats/dogs/fish/lizard, etc.
Currently, she lives with 4 cats and is certified in Pet First Aid / CPR through Pet Emergency Education LLC.
Laurie Corsi, Dog Walker & Pet Sitter (Providence and Surrounding Areas)
Laurie has over 23 years of experience working professionally with animals through animal hospitals as a vet tech/veterinary nurse/surgical tech/supervisor. She is a certified vet tech.
She grew up around animals and has almost always had animals in her home from cats, dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters and fish.
She currently lives with 1 dog.
Marlena Paulson, Dog Walker, Pet Sitter & Overnight Pet Sitter (Westerly, Charlestown, Richmond, Wakefield, West Kingston, Kingston, Narragansett RI)
Marlena has prior experience volunteering at a no kill animal rescue working hands on with the animals.
She also grew up around animals -cats, birds, dogs and other small animals.
She is certified in Pet First Aid / CPR through Pet Emergency Education LLC.
Melissa McGill – Dog Walker and Pet Sitting (Warwick, Cranston, parts of Providence)
Melissa has been a pet sitter and dog walker for over 5 years. She’s also fostered over 60 dogs in the last 6 years and has lots of experience with dogs of all sizes and breeds.
She loves being out in nature and exploring with her rescue dog, Ripley.
She will complete her Pet First Aid First Aid Training in Summer 2023
Meri-Sue Vosburgh – Dog Walker and Occassional Pet Sitting (Warwick (Cowesett and Potowomut areas), East Greenwich RI and bordering North Kingstown RI areas)
Meri-Sue has many years experience working with animals/cats/dogs including professional dog walking and pet sitting experience. She has lived with animals for many years and has completed her Pet First Aid Training.
Nancy Zuffoletti, Dog Walker & Pet Sitter (West Greenwich, Hope, Coventry, West Warwick, East Greenwich, North Kingstown RI)
Nancy has over a year of experience working with another professional pet sitting/dog walking company. She has volunteered and done foster care through animal shelters, owns an online dog bakery and regularly volunteers at a local farm in NK working with pigs, etc… She currently lives with 2 dogs (American Bulldogs) and some rescued kitties. She is also certified in Pet First Aid / CPR through Pet Emergency Education LLC.
Patricia (Tricia) Wells, Dog Walker, Pet Sitter, Overnight Sitter & In Her Home Cat Sitter in Warwick RI (Cranston, Warwick, West Warwick, East Greenwich, North Kingstown, Saunderstown, Narragansett RI)
Tricia has lived with both dogs and cats and has been volunteering with PawsWatch since 2011 (7 years as of 2018).
She participates in the trap/spay/neuter/return program, helps to care for community cat colonies, and does foster care. She is also certified in Pet First Aid / CPR through Pet Emergency Education LLC.
Paige Couture, Dog Walker, Pet Sitter, Overnight Sitter (Swansea, Somerset, Fall River, Tiverton & Surrounding)
Paige has past pet sitting experience and has worked as a volunteer at a horse farm since she was 12 years old. She currently resides with a Chihuahua, two Morkie pups, two indoor cats, a lot of outdoor cats, and a guinea pig.
She completed her First aid and CPR training in Spring 2023
Samantha Donnelly, Pet sitter, Weekend Dog walker (Coventry, West Greenwich, West Warwick, East Greenwich)
Samantha has always had animals in her home, she currently resides with her two dogs; Mason-(mini schnauzer) & Toby (pit bull)
She has volunteer experience with the Wildlife Rehab Center of RI
Samantha completed her First aid and Pet CPR in Spring 2023
Sarah Robbins, Pet sitter, Weekend Dog walker (Cranston and Warwick)
Sarah has done pet sitting for friends and family for several years. She resides with her french bulldog, but has had several types of pets over her life (both large and small dogs, guinea pigs, fish, parakeets, cats, and a ball python).
She completed her certificate in Pet First Aid & CPR in May 2023. She is also Pet Sitter Certified as of May 2023
Sharon Tefft, Pet Sitter (Providence County)
Sharon grew up around animals.
She has many years experience working/volunteering with animals through farms/horse rescues & at local animal shelters and as a volunteer dog walker.
She lives with 1 cat (persian) & 1 dog (Schnoodle) and she is certified in Pet First Aid.
Tammie Anderson, Pet Sitter (West Greenwich, Hope, Coventry, West Warwick, Warwick, East Greenwich, North Kingsotwn & Exeter RI)
Tammie grew up with animals (both dogs & cats) & has always had at least one companion animal since. She has experience volunteering with dogs at the Providence Animal Rescule League (Walking them, etc..) and has worked with PawsWatch to help rescue some feral cats in her area. She has previous experience as a professional house cleaner/pet sitter as well. In addition she has also worked with pet food companies & done some work with them at local pet stores such as PetCo & PetSmart. She lives with a few cats & she is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid through Pet Emergency Education LLC.
Tammy Hazard, Dog Walker/ Pet Sitter (North Kingstown, East Greenwich RI & Surrounding areas)
Tammy has been around animals for years and has prior experience working as a professional pet sitter and dog walker working with a variety of animals including cats & dogs.
She completed her Pet First Aid training in Spring 2023.
Tammy currently resides with her New Foundland poodle mix Koda Rain.
